2008年1月13日，安徽芜湖安徽师范大学外国语学院大三学生冷静在芜湖火车站拥挤的人流中被挤下站台，被还没来得及停稳的火车当场轧死。她的生命永远留在了回家的路上。1月21日夜，冷静终于乘上了回家的火车，同行的还有爸爸、妈妈和弟弟。而1月13日，她千辛万苦也没能在春运的人潮中挤上火车。只不过，等她终能归家时，她已是妈妈怀中的一盒骨灰。
法律学者冷静
冷静博士系香港大学法律学院助理教授。1997年，她以全班第一的优异成绩毕业于北京大学法学院，并取得法学学士学位；2000年，她获得北京大学和九州大学（日本）的法律硕士学位，并在2005年取得多伦多大学博士学位（法律科学）。在进入香港大学之前，冷静博士曾于2000年至2001年任北京大学金融法研究中心研究员，于2001年至2005年，任加拿大多伦多大学资本市场研究所研究员。现系香港法律杂志的编辑。
冷静博士的研究领域包含多种学科，在金融监管、比较公司治理，法律与发展方面等各领域均有研究成果发表。她的论文均发表在《中外法学》、《北大法律评论》、《弗吉尼亚法律评论》等著名期刊上，包括：
